Admirals Timeline

Date Event
October 21, 1998 Hockey North America holds initial meeting for the 1999 beginner school. The founding members of the Admirals (and Battle Cats) attend in order to register for the school.
January 5, 1999 The HNA beginner school begins. The players are split into teams, and the Admirals are officially formed.
March 2, 1999 Admirals play their first game, a 8-4 loss to the Battle Cats. Don Zdrazil scores three goals, including the first goal in Admirals history.
March 23, 1999 Admirals earn first point in the standings with a 4-4 tie with the Battle Cats.
April 6, 1999 First win in Admirals history is a 3-2 win over the Battle Cats. John "J.D." Dunn scores the game-winner late in the second period.
April 27, 1999 Admirals finish the beginner season with a 2-6-1-0 record.
October 31, 1999 Admirals start the 1999-2000 season, their first game as an "intermediate" team, playing in Tier 5. The Admirals lose to the Battle Cats 4-3 at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Coliseum.
January 2, 2000 Admirals earn their first intermediate league win, besting the Jaguars 4-2.
March 22, 2000 Admirals defeat the Jaguars 6-3, and finish their first intermediate season in Tier 5 with a record of 4-16-0-0.
June 4, 2000 Winning five games in three days, the Admirals win the Tier 4, Level 6 championship at the HNA League Finals in Toronto, Ontario. The Admirals downed the Providence Thunder 8-7 in the championship game. Steve Fitz had eleven goals in the tournament, including five in the final game.
October 25, 2000 The Admirals start the 2000-2001 campaign by defeating the Stars 9-2. The Admirals play the season in Tier 4C.
April 8, 2001 After finishing the season 12-6-2-0, the Admirals win their first-ever playoff game, topping the Roadrunners 3-2 in overtime. The Admirals would go on to finish second in the Tier, losing in the finals to the Taz Devils.
October 27, 2001 The Admirals play the 2001-2002 season in the newly-formed Adult Hockey Association as members of Tier 4B, and start with a 4-3 overtime win against the Land Sharks.
March 23, 2002 After a 7-11-1-1 regular season, the Admirals go 0-2 in the playoffs, losing to the Taz Devils and Battle Cats.
October 27, 2002 Admirals open fifth season with 3-2 overtime loss to the Roadrunners.
March 17, 2003 The 100th game in team history closes the fifth season for Admirals. The Ads lose to the Land Sharks, 8-1.
November 1, 2003 The Admirals start their sixth season with a 7-3 win over the Knights.
November 7, 2004 The Admirals start their seventh season with a 4-2 loss to the Leftovers.
November 1, 2005 The Admirals start their eighth season with a 7-3 loss to the Mighty Northern.
October 28, 2006 The Admirals start their ninth season with a 7-6 win against the Saints.
October 27, 2007 The Admirals start their historic tenth season with a 5-1 win against the Warriors.
