With wins over the Lions and the Raiders, the Admirals are undefeated after 3 games.

November 17, 2003

On Sunday night, Adrian Abramshuk scored 4 goals including a natural hat-trick to lead the Admirals over the Lions 7-3. The Admirals jumped out to a 4-0 lead before succumbing to their typical second period collapse and led 5-3 after two periods. Adrian got his fourth, and Mike Lobinsky triple-shifted to ice the win late in the third period. "I'm going to get mine even if that means stealing a shift or two from the Berquists. It wasn't like they were contributing last night or anything" Lobinsky said when pressed about his late game ice-hogging tactics.

The big star of the game was Admirals goalie Kyle Johnson. Kyle stopped 48 of 51 shots in a game where most of the action occurred in the Admirals defensive end. At one point, and despite holding a 4 goal lead, the Admirals had been outshot 20-5.

Sunday November 9, the Admirals beat the Raiders 6-5 in an overtime thriller at the St. Paul Coliseum. Despite jumping out to a 2-0 lead in their first three shifts, the Admirals saw the Raiders use their faster team speed to take the lead in the third period. After masterful tactical decisions to shorten the bench by team captain Apur Patel, Mike Lobinsky tied the game 5-5. With just seconds left in overtime, "Sergaent" Dan Berquist scored the winner.

The Admirals are 3-0 for the first time in their storied history. Their 20 goals leads the tier, and Adrian Abramshuk leads the tier with 8 goals. The Admirals are back in action on Sunday against the Phantoms. Come early and enjoy the pre-game celebration of Thanksgiving, starring Sach Darji as everyone's favorite bumbling Turkey, Gobble. Fun for kids of all ages.
