Weekend split with Aces and Mudflaps leave Ads way on the outside of playoffs

Ads look forward to final 4 games of the season

March 6, 2006

Aces 4 - Ads 1
The Admirals couldn't recover from a 4 goal in 2 minutes period early in the 1st against the Aces. Captain Apur Patel calls for a time out after the 4th goal and rallies the troops. From there on out, the game was very close. Mike Lobinsky got the lone goal for the Admirals. Early in the 3rd period though, the Ads thought they had a 2nd goal but was waved off by the referee. That pretty much sank any hopes of a late comeback against a tough Aces team.

Admirals 5 - Mudflaps 3
Playing back to back games for the 3rd time this season, the Admirals recover from Saturday's lost to the Aces by beating the Mudflaps 5-3. Ads gave up a goal 42 seconds into the game but came back halfway to tie the game halfway through the period by a goal by Mike Berquist. Another goal by Mike Berquist and Randy Williams put the Ads up 3-1early in the 2nd til the Flaps got one to make it 3-2 after 2. Flaps would tie the game on a short handed goal but Will Peccia came through with the game winner with 2 minutes left to play in the game. Gary Bird added an empty net goal to seal the win for the Ads.
